Premier Racing & Training in Colombia

 

The prestigious Cartagena Sailing Week returns this Easter, offering an unparalleled racing and training experience in one of the Caribbean’s most stunning sailing destinations. Presented by The Liga de Vela de Bolívar and hosted by Club de Pesca Marina, the event will bring together top-tier Laser/ILCA and Sunfish sailors from across the region for a world-class clinic and competition from April 11th to 20th, 2025.

 

This year’s event boasts an impressive lineup, including internationally acclaimed Race Officer Ian Mc Clelland and two distinguished international juries from Perú and Uruguay. With competitors already confirmed from Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru, the event is set to showcase high-level sailing talent from across the Americas. 

 

The event schedule includes:

• A three-day high-performance clinic led by expert coaches, refining tactical and technical skills.

• A rest day, giving sailors a chance to explore Cartagena’s rich maritime culture and historic charm.

• Three days of intense racing, putting speed, skill, and strategy to the test on Cartagena Bay’s world-class waters.

 

Participants—including sailors, coaches, and officials—will be accommodated at Colombia’s Naval Academy, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved. Meanwhile, Club de Pesca Marina will serve as a central hub for pre-and post-race activities, offering first-class hospitality and social events throughout the week.
